I read this book with my Mom. The Little Girl and Her Shadow is about a little girl and her feelings. At first, I did not like this book. I did not like how mean the little girl was. I did not like how she treated people or what she said. She did mean things. I do not think you should do those mean things. Then I realized she was very very sad.

She is a little girl that does not like anything. I think that she is probably super sad all the time. I think she is sad because she does not have a friend. Her shadow follows someone else because it want to be with a friend. In the end, something makes her happy and she appreciates everything she sees and goes past. Getting one super nice friend made everything change for her, and so did getting her shadow back. She got someone to play with and wanted to make her friend happy because her friend did not have anything.

Her friend teaches the little girl that it is mean to be unkind, and that being mean is your choice. I do not really think the little girl would just be happy. I think she changed, but there is still sadness, like everyone in her. It is just being human.
