The Lion Inside
I liked this book, the pictures were funny (especially the one showing the scared lion), and the story very sweet. Little mouse is tired of being the littlest, more scared animal in the forest. Everyone stomps on him, does not care about him, is not scared of him. He decides he wants to be powerful and strong and most of all loud. So he decides to get the advice of the most courageous and loud of all animals, the lion. Though he is really scared that the lion would eat him up for dinner. But he decides that it is worth trying, so mouse wins his fear and goes to wake up the lion. Much to his surprise, as soon as the lion wakes up, he screams a EEEK of terror. Who would imagine that such a big, powerful animal is scared of mice. So the lion and the mouse talk and decide to help each other. Because inside of each of us there is both a lion and a mouse… which I guess means a strong side and a weak side.
