The Case of the Vanishing Emerald: The Mysteries of Maisie Hitchins Book 2
Miss Lane invites over an actress named Lila, and then Lila is missing her emerald necklace that her fiancé gave her. So Maisie Hitchins has to go to the theater to find out who stole the emerald. She finds lots of clues. There are a lot of mice at the theater, so she brings her dog Eddie to help her kill the mice. Everyone thinks it’s fun that the dog is there, and he helps her solve the mystery.
It is so fun to read this mystery because it is fun to look for clues. The pictures were really fun too; the clues weren’t in the pictures—they were in the words of the story—but the people had good expressions. I liked the people in this book. Maisie was so determined to find out the mystery, and it was funny that Eddie caught the mice. Lila was pretty and she was nice to Maisie, so you wanted her to find her necklace. This is a great series and I want to read the rest!
