Tentacle and Wing
Ada was born a chimera, a person who has animal features. She has infrared vision, and for as long as she remembers her father has told her to keep it a secret. But when she is in the fifth grade, a surprise test reveals her true DNA. She is shipped of to a special school with people like her. As she is adjusting, she finds out that the school might be hiding a secret. One that will tear her life apart.
Tentacle & Wing by Sara Porter was not my type of book. I think Ada was not a very interesting character because she did not change at all as the story progressed. The story was very dull. And it never sped up at all. But what I liked was that the author described the other people in Ada’s new home very well and in great detail. The other characters are as boring as she is. I think overall don’t waste your time and money on this book. This book would be good for people ages 11-13 who like poorly written books.
