Somebody on This Bus Is Going to Be Famous

The book begins with a bunch of kids on a school bus on the first day of school. All of the kids live in the same neighborhood and they play with each other. Every day, the bus waits at an empty stop where nobody gets on and nobody gets off. They ask the driver why they are waiting at an empty bus stop every day, but she won’t answer any questions. It doesn’t seem very likely, but by the end of the school year, somebody on the bus is going to be famous.

I don’t think the plot of the story is very interesting, but many people might. If you enjoy stories such as Anne of Green Gables, that seem pretty real but are fictional, then you will definitely like this book. It is written well. It seems so real and the author really captured what the neighborhood would be like. It seems a lot like real life with ordinary people in an ordinary neighborhood playing sports, going to school and making friends. There is not a lot of excitement or adventure until the very end, where there is a big surprise.
