In Sofia the First: Sofia’s First Christmas, Princess Sofia joins Princess Vivian to celebrate Christmas at her castle, along with her parents. Sofia has never celebrated Christmas before, so the experiences are all new to her. The girls help trim the tree, hang stockings, wrap the presents, and build a snowman.

While dressing their snowman, they discover Sofia’s friends Benngee and Button, who are elf-like creatures called wee sprites, under the snowman’s hat. They are sad because they cannot find their friend, Brody. The wee sprites have always celebrated holidays together, and they cannot have a happy holiday without their friend! Sofia and Vivian agree to help Benngee and Button search for Brody.

This story is full of adventure and Christmas surprises! It is a great book for Christmastime and the rest of the year, too! I also love the texture of the pages. They are nice to touch! The pictures are so beautiful and colorful that they make me happy. This is a wonderful story about spending holidays with people that you love – that is what makes Christmas special!
