Pete the Cat’s Groovy Guide to Life

I enjoyed reading this book called Pete the Cat’s Groovy Guide to Life. This book gives “Tips from a Cool Cat for living an Awesome Life”! Pete the cat is giving ideas about living. It is not really a story book, but a collection of sayings. There are sayings from famous people like Lewis Carroll, Confucius, and Thomas Edison. Pete the Cat looks like a mouthless cat to me. He has lots of adventures. The illustrations in this book are very bright with lots of colors. It looks like someone made them with crayons or paints. My favorite part was when Pete said to “Go with the flow.” My mommy reminds me to go with the flow sometimes! I actually liked everything about this book. Readers who like cats and quotations will enjoy this book. Little kids will want to read it, but maybe bigger kids will like the book too! My favorite part is when Pete says “Amazing things happen when you work hard.” Another special part is “Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light” by Helen Keller. I like this quote because I did a presentation about Helen Keller! I think this book is pretty special because it gives you lots of good advice.
