Peanut Butter & Brains: A Zombie Culinary Tale
Don’t worry, Peanut Butter and Brains is not a scary zombie book! The zombies are cute and silly! This book is about Reginald, a zombie who would rather have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches than brains for lunch. All the other zombies shuffle around the town, chasing people away and moaning, “BRAINSSSSSS!” There is even a zombie cat who is meowing for fish bones |”NO BRAINSSSSS?” The other zombies don’t understand how Reginald could crave anything other than brains. Reginald even tries to convince them to just try a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but they will not.
There are many funny parts in this book, like the “yuck” face Reginald makes when the lunch lady serves him brain-shaped meatloaf. Eew! It’s also funny when Reginald tries to buy groceries, but only has worms in his pockets instead of money! He finally tricks the zombies into trying a peanut butter sandwich – and they love it! The zombies learn to live in peace with the townspeople, as long as they are paid in peanut butter sandwiches.
This is a great book that teaches people to stand up for themselves, and be who they are, even if everyone else thinks you are weird or different.
