A young witch named Abby and her friends expected nothing to happen during fall break, until Abby accidentally opens a magical portal that holds a realm of chaos bunnies! When the bunnies are released and cause havoc around the town of North Haven, Abby doesn’t know what to do. So she and her friends, Hannah the ghost, Silas the pumpkin-head, and Gita the wolf, try to figure out how Abby can reverse the spell and bring the chaos back to its natural habitat. As well as chaos bunnies, Abby also finds herself trying to unravel the past of her ancestor’s history. Can Abby figure everything out before it’s too late?

ParaNorthern is an absolutely adorable and bewitching book from the start. I like that Abby and her mother run a coffee shop together, and the recipe at the end of the book was a nice touch. While the art is super cute, the drawings and colors fill the book and your heart with warmth and coziness, just in time for Fall and Halloween. I highly recommend this book to people who like witchcraft, cafes, autumn, and bunnies!
