Once Upon a Frog (Whatever After #8)

I think that Whatever After: Once Upon a Frog is a great book. It’s about two siblings named Abby and Jonah. They have a magic mirror that allows them to travel to fairy tales. However, they always end up messing them up somehow. There is a boy named Brandon who always bullies Abby. He didn’t used to be like this, but it just started. Abby and Jonah know a fairy name Maryrose and she lives inside the magic mirror. Lately, Jonah has had some of Maryrose’s memories. Although they haven’t been very useful. They tried to talk to Maryrose but ended up into the fairy tale The Frog Prince with their dog Prince. They meet the frog prince, whose name is Frederic, and the princess, who turns out to be extremely rude. They try not to mess up the story. But they do anyway. They try to change Frederic back multiple ways from multiple versions of The Frog Prince. When something finally works, something bad and unexpected happens. Next an unexpected plot twist happens that changes the story forever. Then at the end, they get back to the real world. Abby does a good deed and stops a bully.

Whatever After: Once Upon a Frog is a very magical easy-to-understand book. It was very fun to read. So I think that lots of girls will like it. I recommend this book to ages 8-11.
