Norbert’s Big Dream

There was a pig named Norbert, and he wants to swim the English Channel. So he practices and practices and practices, until finally he is ready. He tells his friends but they laugh at him and say that not a single pig has crossed the English Channel – so he says he will be the first! But then he couldn’t find the English Channel and he was disappointed because he thought that maybe he couldn’t have his dream. So he goes back to the farm, but the other pigs show him the way to Norbert’s Channel so he can swim it, and they are all so nice to him and have a party.

This book is fun and funny. It is interesting that the pig gets to be a great swimmer because he practices and trains. It is also so nice that his friends are happy for him and they support him and show him a channel that he can cross even if it isn’t the English Channel. It is really good that Norbert always has a new dream and he works really hard for his dream. I like the pictures because the pigs are so funny and really cute.
