Never Tear Us Apart

Never Tear Us Apart was a story that had me hooked from the very beginning. I was surprised considering most of Murphy’s books end up being disappointments for me. But I decided to give her one more try; I’m very happy that I did. The story is about a young girl who ultimately pays the price when she gets abducted. Many years later, she’s finally ready to tell her heartbreaking story to the media – the pain, the darkness, and the boy who saved her life. Katharine’s life was never the same when she was kidnapped and held captive. Her only saving grace through those dark times was Ethan; a boy who risked his own life just so that she could get hers back. But there is no getting a life back after everything Katherine had to endure. Murphy gives us a realistic book about two beings trying to overcome the darkness that’s consumed their lives; their souls. Throughout the book, I remained glued to the pages and feeling all the emotions the characters felt. It’s a story I absolutely look forward to continuing. I think readers will flock to this darkly written book because the underlining message I got was hope.
