Mayhem and Madness: Chronicles of a Teenaged Supervillain
Bailey never meant to be the supervillain in his own story. He never meant to be a supervillain in the first place. But things happen, like a super-powered flying suit of computerized armor. And a mysterious Mr. Jones. And the fact that he just might have a chance with the girl of his dreams. Or maybe the most important is that he just might have a chance to save his dad. Bailey never meant to be the supervillain, but, come on, it’s pretty cool.
Bailey is hardly a supervillain, more like a teenager making bad decisions that happen to involve a super suit. Mayhem and Madness had a lot of promise with interesting characters and a great plot. Unfortunately, some characters that needed more development got it too late in the story. The romance was perfect, relevant to the plot but still only a subplot. The way the story is told is unique and interesting, almost as if a comic book, but not well done. Overall I enjoyed reading it but have read better.
