Line and Dot

Line and Dot one day met and became friends. They were different, of course–they couldn’t be anything more different, actually. But they make interesting things together. They became a seesaw, a funny guitar called a banjo, a snail, a propeller. They had fun until Line got a bit bored, and Dot decided to call more dot friends, and things became more interesting: they could make a flower or wheat. Then Line called more friends like him. And things became more interesting with a lot of lines because they could make a lot of shapes and games together: trees, kites, bicycles. They realized that they could build a city for everyone to live in. And they invited friends from far away to come to the city. So the city was populated with more lines and dots, all in different colors. Everything looked, fun, interesting, exciting, and colorful as well.

I like this book because it is different from others I have read. It got me thinking of how many things I can draw using dots and lines, so I started drawing all sorts of things with just dots and lines.
