Inside Out Read-Along Storybook and CD

Even though I could read this book by myself, I still enjoyed listening to the audio CD that comes with it. I said to my mom, “Hey, that sounds like my Joy doll!” The voices in the CD sound like the movie, too.

This book tells the same story as the movie Inside Out. There are some emotions that live inside a girl named Riley’s head. They are called Joy, Fear, Disgust, Anger, and Sadness.

I like the part when Riley is growing up and her memories are good. But when Riley and her family move away from their home, Riley feels sad because Sadness is in her brain.

I didn’t like that Goofball Island began to fall apart, because I love Goofball Island! And I might need to live there sometimes. I have the same emotions as Riley, so it is fun to learn about Riley and her emotions: “Joy raced off to find Sadness, but Sadness hopped onto a cloud and flew away.”

If a kid likes the movie Inside Out, then they would like this book and CD.
