Igraine the Brave
Igraine’s parents are magicians, but she doesn’t want to be a magician like her parents. Igraine longs to be a knight and when she turns twelve, she sets out to become one. Igraine’s parents get accidentally turned into pigs. Osmond the Greedy wants to go over the castle and the Books of Magic. Will he succeed? Who will stop him? You will have to read the book to find out.
The book is pretty funny. The Singing Books of Magic is so silly and funny, and Sisyphus is so cute. I liked that the book had illustrations because it made the story more helpful. I thought the part where Igraine’s parents get turned into pigs was funny. Imagine if your parents were pigs! I like how Igraine is so brave and fearless, and her magic suit of armor is so amazing. My favorite characters are Igraine and the Singing Books of Magic. I like stories where the girls are brave and smart and it shows that bravery isn’t just for boys. I recommend this book to all kids, but especially girls, because Igraine shows you girls can do anything she wants.
