Ice Sea Pirates
Siri’s sister, Miki, gets captured by a pirate, a very infamous pirate named Whitehead, and no one wants to go after her. Siri has to go alone. She finds a ship sailing to the pirate’s island, finds a friend on the ship, and together they sail to find Miki. She has a lot of different adventures on a lot of different islands, including meeting a baby mermaid, encountering a wolf, and escaping pirates.
This is a very long but exciting book. The chapters sometimes leave you with a cliffhanger, which I like. I think older kids and younger kids would like this book, but there are some pretty big words. There is a very cool map in front. When the author talks about different islands, you can look back at the map and see what she’s talking about. Most of the islands, Siri doesn’t visit. Maybe there will be another book with more adventures on the other islands. But she does sail from one side of the map to the other. If you like adventure, pirates, or both, you’ll probably like this book.
