Holy Night and Little Star: A Story for Christmas
It is getting closer to Christmas each day, so why not start reading Christmas stories? Holy Night and Little Star: A Story for Christmas is the Nativity Christmas story told from the perspective of Little Star. Little Star enjoys her job of shining above the animals every night, but one night, Maker gathers everyone in space (sun, moon, planets, stars) and tells them that Holy Night will happen soon! This upsets Little Star because she is asked to help and do something she has never done before. Will Little Star gather the courage to do what is asked? What will Holy Night look like from her perspective?
Holy Night and Little Star has all of the parts of the Nativity Christmas story I have been told yearly, but being told from Little Star’s perspective makes it curious and interesting. I had not heard God’s name referred to as “Maker” before, but it makes sense since he did make everything. I enjoyed looking at the illustrations of the moon, sun, planets, and stars as they look like people and are so pretty. Kids of all ages with their parents/adults should read this story because it tells about the true meaning of Christmas.
