Heroes of Discovery: Who Changed the World

In this book, you’ll learn about famous people such as Ada Lovelace, Johannes Gutenberg, and Thomas Edison, and you’ll meet newer heroes like Katherine Johnson, Tim Berners-Lee, and Elon Musk. Humans have made a lot of important discoveries, from the printing press to the electric car. And we’ll just keep making more discoveries because the only skill humans are truly born with is the ability to learn new skills.

This book is super cool because there aren’t a lot of nonfiction graphic novels. The close-up, vibrant illustrations make you feel like you’re in the story. This book may not be good for younger kids because it has big words, and it could be confusing if you don’t know who the people are. This book is good because if children are educated about inventions of the past, they are more likely to invent things in the future. Other books in the Graphic Greats series are Heroes of Science, Heroes of Flight, and Heroes of Space.

If you like science and history, this book is for you.
