Hats Off to You!
Hats Off to You! is about four girls who search for the perfect hats for themselves and their moms. The plot was very entertaining and joyful; it brings in front of our eyes how they try on different types of hats and find suitable ones. I like the way the author wrote the book with rhyming words. All the characters were lively and joyful. The illustrations were colorful, pretty, and glittery. It matches the rhyming language very well. For example, “Royal queen with a sparkly crown, I’m a silly Circus clown. Batter up! Eyes on the wall, I just want to try them all!” The pictures for these lines show the girls wearing those types of clothes and hats; it really shows the girls as a royal queen, a clown, and a baseball player. This book is suited for all girls, and especially for girls in kindergarten to third grade. People who like colorful pictures and glittery images will love this book for sure. This book is well suited for a series. This book reminds me of Dr. Seuss because of its poetic and rhyming words. The parts I liked are when the girls have tea with their moms and walk the red carpet. Hats Off to You! is a great book, so go ahead and enjoy it.
