Good Night, Baby Animals, You’ve Had a Busy Day: A Treasury of Six Original Stories
Good Night, Baby Animals, You’ve Had A Busy Day is a book of six short stories, each about a different baby animal. We meet baby tigers, giraffes, gorillas, pandas, elephants, and rhinos. They are learning and exploring. We meet a baby elephant. The baby elephant follows everything that momma does so he can learn to be an elephant. He reaches for leaves, scratches on a tree, and grabs grass with his trunk. We also meet a baby rhino who is on the lookout for lions and leopards. He learns to paw the ground, look around, and charge. We meet a baby panda who likes to eat bamboo then fall asleep. Each baby has a busy day, learning what it is like to be big.
I liked Good Night Baby Animals, You’ve Had A Busy Day because it was about baby animals. The illustrations were really beautiful and detailed. I think the illustrations are what made me want to read this book the most. I thought the rhino was really funny when he would charge. I think this book is meant for little kids–toddlers and preschool age. It was definitely too young for me, but I would like to read it to my little cousins. Good Night Baby Animals, You’ve Had A Busy Day would make a really cute bedtime story.
