Ginny Louise and the School Showdown
This story is about a hedgehog named Ginny Louise. Three awful troublemakers are at her new school. Their names are Cap’n Catastrophe, Destructo Dude, and Make-My-Day May. They are very bad bullies. They push into lines, don’t do homework, and are late for school. They say bad things to Ginny Louise. May tells Ginny she has to pay for being too nice. Ginny thinks May says “stay,” though. Then, Ginny misunderstands a word again; she mistakes “pay” for “play.” Then, Cap’n tells her to walk up the see-saw and calls it a “plank.” Destructo puts her on a toy rocket and tells her to leave the planet. May gets mad at Ginny Louise and challenges her to a showdown. Ginny Louise thinks May said “hoedown.” Can Ginny Louise stop these troublemakers in time?
This book would be good for beginners in reading and is good because Ginny Louise keeps going. The illustrations help the story a lot. This book would be better if it didn’t use as many big words, but learning new words makes the story more interesting
