Fred
Fred was different from everyone else because he had imaginary friends that only he could see. He played with them all the time, until one day, it was his first day of school. Then, he played with his new friends, not his old ones, and eventually he stopped being able to see them and he couldn’t even remember them. But he felt empty and alone. One day, a little girl came up to him and gave him a lollipop, and he remembered all about his old friends, and he found out that they were there the whole time.
The pictures in this book are mostly black and white, but Fred and his friends are colorful. They are colored with pencils. I like the pictures because you can see Fred’s friends too. They are funny monsters who are very nice and friendly; they are big and furry and look cuddly. My favorite picture is the cover, because it shows Fred holding a lollipop, and one of his friends behind him, but peeking out like he is always by Fred, even if Fred doesn’t see him. I was glad that Fred finally remembered his friends, and that they were always around him.
