Cross Fire: An Original Companion Novel
Cross Fire by Michael Kogge is a novel inspired by the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. It is about the two superheroes who work together to stop evil Dr. Aesop after he escapes from Arkham Asylum. A young boy named Rory is caught in the cross fire.
Most of us know who Batman and Superman are and have read their comics or seen their movies or TV shows. This book gives a different look at these two and allows them to work together. This is a typical Batman and Superman book and neither character changes very much, if at all. They almost never do. Batman uses lots of gadgets and Superman uses his powers. They both fight evil. The boy plays a pretty big part in the story and he learns a lot of things and he definitely changes and grows up. There is a lot of suspense and there is fighting near the end. Even if I don’t tell you who wins, you probably already know. But it’s still a good book.
It’s a pretty simple book so this book would be good for ages kids about 8 to 11.
