Chickens Don’t Live in Tree Houses: A Lily Saves the Day Book by Laura Willingham was a little funny! I mean, chickens! In tree houses! The story is that when it won’t stop raining, Lily and her family retreat to the trees. Lily’s friends had to leave their homes, but luckily Lily and her family were there to help them. They were lucky to live up on a hill. Lily and her family realize that home sweet home is more than just boards and bricks.

It was cool that Lily fixed the tree house all by herself. She was a big (girl) chicken! When Lily repaired the tree house, I didn’t understand how she got stuff for the curtains, but that’s okay. I like how smart Lily is. She always knows what to do. She always figures out how to solve the problems. And she always stays calm. I hope I can learn to be more like Lily.

The pictures were a little bit silly and a lot awesome. The author was really creative in making the pictures.
