Charlotte the Scientist Finds a Cure
Charlotte the Scientist Finds a Cure is about a little bunny named Charlotte who wants to be a scientist. Her grandpa is a famous scientist, and he visits her lab and tells Charlotte that she will make a big difference in the world. One day the forest creatures, including her Grandpa, get sick; Charlotte starts to investigate. She asks questions and does research to try and figure out what was wrong. The doctors tell Charlotte that she is too little, but Charlotte is determined to find the cure. Charlotte uses research to try and find a cure, and help save her grandpa.
I really liked Charlotte the Scientist Finds a Cure because I really like science and would like to be a scientist when I grow up. I took a science class, and I think it is neat that this book talks about the things I learned in science class, like hypothesis, gathering data, and putting it in bar and line graphs. The back of the book explains some of the big words in the book, like contaminate, dissect, and quarantine. I would recommend Charlotte the Scientist Finds a Cure to students ages 4-8 to read in their science classes to learn about steps for making experiments.
