Cat on the Bus
This is a story about a sad, homeless cat who lives out on the street. He is hungry and looking for food. He is SO hungry that he is digging in the garbage can to find something to eat! When he tries to go into a store, the mean owner swats him out with a broom!
Then, when he tries to get on a bus to get out of the cold, the bus driver rudely shoos him away. He is such a sad, lonely cat!
It starts to snow, and the cat’s ears perk up when he sees a new bus pull up at the bus stop. The cat whooshes inside the bus and climbs on a soft, cushy seat. An old man sits down next to him and says, “Hello, cat!”
Does the cat find a warm home and a family to love him? Will he be cozy with a full tummy? I like the story because it is sweet and entertaining. Although there are not very many words in this book, the pictures tell a nice story.
