California, the Magic Island

This book is about a queen who has her island named California. When she discovers that people discovered another island, but thought they had discovered a different island, she became angry. She called animals from the new island of California to tell her all about it – to see if she would keep it or destroy it. So the animals told her all about California by telling her about things from A to Z. For H, they tell her about Hollywood Magic and Z was for a Zoo. This book is to teach you about California. You learn a lot about the state of California in a fun way. You learn about the history, the animals and their lives, and different things that people have built or do in California. In the end, Queen California decides to protect California because she has learned all these great things about it. The pictures are really fun because they are colorful and have a lot of detail. They show you the things the animals are talking about so you want to go see them for yourself. If you are curious about California, you should read this book.
