Beneath the Waves by National Geographic Kids is an amazing picture book full of fascinating facts about the ocean. The book briefly covers all the parts of the ocean, from coral reefs to dark depths, from ocean exploration to ocean pollution and protection. There are lots and lots of beautiful photographs along with fun facts and creature descriptions. I had no idea Surgeonfish are venomous or that manatees are actually related to elephants. This book is sure to help you dive in deep and help you feel like you are exploring the ocean for real. I think this book is great not only for kids of any age but also for grown-ups. There is always something new to learn and something magnificent to admire! If you get a chance, definitely grab this book, it is a must to learn about the largest and most important resource on our planet!
