Bake, Make, and Learn to Cook Vegetarian is an excellent cookbook. It has a wide variety of sauces and also has many grains, but it lacks proteins. My entire family loved this book. It is very healthy, and while we normally tweak recipes, we did not have to do anything to the recipes we tried out. The things we made were spinach crepes, pesto, cheesy crackers, guacamole made of peas, cauliflower hot wings, lemon, pear, and poppy seed muffins, and a sandcastle carrot cake for dessert. All of the recipes were delicious, but a few of the recipes did not make quite enough. The cheesy cracker’s recipe said it made twenty but actually made sixteen. And the batter for the hot wings made much less than was needed; I had to make it four times. The recipes in Bake, Make, and Learn to Cook Vegetarian are very good for child chefs that are six to fifteen years old, although some of the recipes are harder and some easier.
