Asleep
Rose Briar has been placed in a mental asylum by her parents because of her risky behavior over the past year. As the days drag into weeks and the weeks into months she is told the horrible nightmares she has been having are the result of her medication and she gratefully opens up to her doctor, thinking her can help her and stop these nightmares. But when her only friend in the asylum tells her that the doctor is not her ally and to stop taking her medications she listens, only to have it broken to her that Phillip may just be a figment of her imagination. It seems that continuing to trust Phillip can either save her life, and her sanity, or it could give further proof that maybe the asylum is exactly where she needs to be.
While reading Asleep I felt as though I was going insane. Not only was I losing my sanity with Rose but I drove myself a little crazy trying to figure out what was going on. The book was completely nerve-wracking and I have no idea if I will be able to sleep at night now.
