All in One Day
This book is about a child named Ari doing a show at school. There was also a part about monkeys and Ari did that with friends. There are a lot of characters. Esteban likes helping others, and Blaine likes asking other kids to help. Evette loves pretending to be a monkey. I liked when she said that she went to a show with her parents. Josh likes setting up chairs, and Padma loves cutting tickets. The illustrations in this story are beautiful and colorful. The pictures represent kids as they really are. I liked it when the kids were doing the show. “The grown-ups were standing nearby, smiling and clapping.” I like doing shows, too. I didn’t like that the play was going to be about dinosaurs. I prefer other animals. I was surprised because I thought the play was going to be about dinosaurs, but it was about monkeys. This book was special because it had “swooping violin music” that was monkey music. I think that six year old kids who like doing and watching shows will enjoy this book.
