Action Movie Kid
I’ve seen Action Movie Kid before on YouTube videos. I like the videos better than this book. Action Movie Kid is a kid who does imaginative thinking. He thinks of blasting crab guys, but his guns are really a hairdryer and an eggbeater. The missile on his back is rolled up paper and a fork. (My favorite Action Movie Kid skill is “Great with animals.” My other favorite is “Science genius,” where he says “1+2=5.”) Sometimes his imagination gets him in trouble. He puts cardboard rocket boosters on his dad’s car. The wheels are missing. (He won’t ever be late for work again? He’ll be late forever again!) One night, the washing machine is rumbling, because there’s a vortex in it. An alien comes out of the vortex. Action Movie Kid throws a bunch of stuff at it. The alien eats it all. It wants to eat Action Movie Kid next. Will the monster eat him? Read the book to find out. The pictures are funnier than cute. I can read this book myself. The cover makes Action Movie Kid come to life with an app. Then you can battle with (or against) Action Movie Kid in a picture. You can also see Action Movie Kid videos. My favorite part of the book is watching the videos.
