After the drug scandal with Wickham Foster at Pemberley Academy last year, all Georgiana Darcy wants to do is be able to walk down the school halls without her name being whispered behind her back. But when she figures out that Wickham is back in town, Georgie realizes that she can rid herself of Wickham’s schemes once and for all. How hard can it really be to convince the school that she had nothing to do with the drug selling, get back her friends in the band, and find a way to get her brother Fitz to stop hovering over her shoulder? It’ll probably take a miracle…

I did not particularly enjoy this retelling of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. I felt that the start was slow, and Georgie wallowed for the whole first half of the book. The characters did not seem relatable to me, and the drama was over the top. I wanted to root for Georgie, but her constant complaining made her feel more like the antagonist versus the protagonist of her own story. The pace of the story kept me turning pages, but I did not love it.
