This book is about the life story of a man named Walt Disney. When he was a boy, Walt’s favorite thing to do was to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. He called watching fireworks at the end of the night the “perfect kiss goodnight.” It is what ultimately inspired him to show fireworks at the end of every night at Disney World, the theme park he created!

As a boy, Walt Disney lived on a farm, where there was always work to be done. When he was ten years old, he had a paper route to help his family pay bills. He was a very hard worker! Walt Disney was even in the military. He drove an ambulance! But no matter what job he had at the time, he always thought about starting his own business.

Finally, Walt Disney and his brother started Hollywoodland, a company that would tell new stories. And when he created Disney World, he made sure to give people a “kiss goodnight” with an amazing fireworks show!

I liked this book because it talks about following your dream, no matter what stands in your way!
