Light Is All Around Us (Let’s-Read-and-Find-Out Science 2)
This book is about light and how it is everywhere around us, helping us to see and plants to grow. It talks about all kinds of light- sunlight, flash lights, lanterns, even animals that make light, like an octopus and fire flies. I think that kids who like science or just want to learn about all kinds of light will like this book. I give it four stars.
My favorite part of this book was learning about the octopus that glows under water in the dark to attract fish to eat. It was also really cool to read about people who used fireflies in gourds as a flash light to see in the dark.
I thought the illustrations in this book were very nice and colorful. I especially liked the picture of the giant sun, which makes so much light. The science experiments at the end of the book to try were really cool, too and I can’t wait to try them.
Anyone who wants to learn about light or likes to try neat science experiments should definitely read this book.
