This is a cute story of friendship under the sea. The sea is very deep and there are many layers where life lives, so finding friends can be hard with so many foes lurking around. In this case, an underwater volcano causes a commotion and many animals end up moving in with others. This is a great family read about being kind and making friends.

This book was quite lengthy for a picture book, but I liked the rhyming text. I also want to note that the font of the text was very unique, although at times it was hard to read. The illustrations really looked like the animals were in the water. They had some watercolor details. The illustrations of the sea animals were very interesting and truly unlike those in any other book I have seen. I especially loved the blobfish.
