Just Ask! Be Different, Be Brave, Be You
I give this book five stars. This book is about Sotomayor, the Supreme Court Justice. As a child she had asthma and I learned that even though she has asthma, she was still special. This book teaches you about yourself and if you have allergies to tell someone what is different about you so that they can understand. I learned that it is ok to be different. Sometimes we have allergies, sometimes we can’t walk and need a wheelchair, or can’t talk, but there is something still very special about you. Do not let anyone make you feel bad because you are different. I learned you should be nice to everyone and if you don’t understand something about someone, you should ask. Some of the disabilities I did not understand and my mommy had to help me understand. I can relate to having allergies, and when I cough a lot I have to tell people that I am allergic to pollen and dust in the air. Sometimes people say, why do you cough so much, but I just tell them it’s allergies. I recommend this book to other kids.
