The Worst Mascot Ever

If someone else were to read The worst Mascot Ever by James Preller, I think they would like it. I would recommend this book to people age ten and younger. One of my favorite parts is when Suri says, “Arnold has always been the school mascot. There’s no reason to change now.” Another one of my favorite parts is when Kym says, “I’m somebody and there’s a lot of somebodies around here. You’re not the boss of us.” I like this part because Kym finally spoke up.

I recommend this book because everybody has had a fight before and then someone wins but at the end they are still friends. This book was about finding a new mascot and fighting for it. Another thing I would say it’s about is teamwork because they came up with Drake the Dragon. The book was also about winning and not being a show-off. The main characters are Connor, Kym, Lizzy, and Deon. The old mascot was an armadillo and the new mascot is a dragon. That’s a great mascot to have for a school. My favorite character was Deon. He is my favorite character because he likes food and I do too. This was a great book.
