Navigators: Mammals
If you have never looked at a Navigators book, you really don’t know what you are missing. They are not the size of a normal book, much bigger, with very bright full color pages. There is even one page that talks about animal bites. The page has a close up of a mountain lion that you can see the rough taste buds on its tongue and the wrinkles on its nose from hissing. I don’t think I have ever been so close to the mouth of a wild cat before! This Mammals book covers a lot of different topics about mammals like hunting, swimming, flying, and a glossary to help out if you don’t know what something means.
So what would you do if one night you had a giant bat, bigger than your dad, fly over your head, and when you looked at it, it looked like a fox? Well, I am not joking. They are real and called flying foxes, have a wing span of over six feet, and are vegetarians, so don’t worry, they won’t hurt you! If you want to see all of the cool mammals I got to learn about, you better read this book too!
