Hamster Sitter Wanted written by Tracy Gunaratnam and illustrated by Hannah Marks is a funny picture book that would be good for little kids. The pictures are colorful and cute. The pages are full of complex pictures with lots of action. The pictures show lots of movement. The baby hamsters act like little kids and are full of energy. The animals are dressed as humans and the hamsters are shaped like beans. The pictures give a silly and adventurous feeling to the story.
Hamster Sitter Wanted gives the message that you have to find the right baby sitter. Hamster Sitter Wanted would appeal to kids, parents, and baby sitters. Kids would relate to the things that the baby hamsters do: sliding down banisters, hanging on lights, writing on walls and breaking vases. Parents can relate to Marco and Polo, who are trying to get a hamster sitter for the baby hamsters. Marco and Polo have trouble keeping a hamster sitter, which parents can relate to. Baby sitters can relate to all of the hamster sitters in Hamster Sitter Wanted. The hamster sitters get tangled up from hamster sitting. The hamster sitters have trouble keeping the hamsters under control.
