The Wonderful Baron Doppelganger Device
I really liked The Wonderful Baron Doppelgänger Device. It was very funny. The book is about a pie-obsessed, squirrel-loving boy named Waldo Baron (W.B.) who is growing up with his parents and eggy Aunt Dorcas in the late 18th century. His parents are wacky inventors who are constantly dragging W.B. into their wild schemes. One day, his parents invent the Doppelgänger Device, which can turn you into anyone of your choosing. However, it soon falls into the wrong hands. With lots of help from Shorty (his best friend, whose handshake has been known to make grown men cry), Rose Blackwood (his parents’ assistant and sister to Benedict Blackwood, a famous villain), and Buddy Graham (son of the sheriff), W.B is out to save his pie! (Oops, I mean the day.) If you are looking for a hilarious, action-packed story, then this is the book for you.
