Monsters Love School

I am starting preschool this fall so I liked that this book explains what school will be like for me. I hope I have as much fun at school as these monsters are having in the book. The monsters in this book show how fun getting ready for school can be. I loved all the colorful illustrations.

My favorite part was when Little Blue made a super hero mask at school. I hope I get to do that too. I love recess at school too, just like the monsters. I would tell all my friends to read this before they start school this fall. It helped me understand what school will be like and it might be similar to what monsters do when they go to school.

After reading this book, I want to read Mike Austin’s other picture book “Monsters love colors.” I liked all the characters in the story; Blue, Little Gray, Pinky, etc. My favorite character was Ice, because I like to eat ice. I liked how the monsters all like to play together just like I play with my friends.
