My Teacher Is a Monster! (No, I Am Not.)
This story is about a little boy who has a problem, and that problem is his teacher. He thinks his teacher is a monster because she uses a loud voice, stomps her feet, and won’t let him throw his paper airplanes in class. The monster in the story kinda creeped me out; I am glad my teacher doesn’t look like the one in the story. Bobby is like many kids who might be scared of their teacher. Bobby runs into his teacher outside of school and everything changes.
I loved reading other Peter Brown books like Children Make Terrible Pets and You Will Be My Friend. I would recommend other children to read this book.
I loved the illustrations in this book. I really liked how the teacher’s look changed throughout the book. The author‘s imaginative artwork was made using India ink, watercolor, gouache, and pencil on paper, and afterwards digitally composed and colored.
I would tell my friends to read this book especially if they don’t like their teacher at first. I liked that the teacher was nice at the end.
