Day Dreamers: A Journey of Imagination
This book tells you about where you are in a place and where you are thinking with your imagination and then you come to a magical land wherever those beasts carry you. Your imagination will carry you wherever you want. It’s also saying that your imagination is something that you can count on.
In the book there’s a picture of a ‘catfish’ – an animal with a fish’s body and tail but the head of a cat! It talks about lots of mythical creatures, like a deer with three dog heads, a serpent, a flying squirrel, a Pegasus, and a seal with a horn. We are the ones thinking of these animals right now. Maybe you’ll imagine a dragon moving the clouds as it flies, or a tiny sea kingdom under your gaze with creatures ancient as the seas, like a seahorse, a whale, a sea monster, and an octopus. In a place that’s really quiet you might imagine a phoenix calling, or unicorns. This book is really fun and it tells you that you can do whatever you want with your imagination. I like the pictures, and this book tells you that you can make anything into make-believe.
