Batman Classic: Battle in the Batcave
Battle in the Batcave is about Batman defeating his worst enemy, Bane. In this story, Bane, a super-villain, is trying to take over Batman’s cave. There are a lot of great fighting scenes in this story. One part I really like is when Bane escapes from Batman through a sewer. Batman goes back to his cave and looks at the sewer tunnels, and then realizes that the sewers are dead ends, except for the one leading to the Batcave. It was very suspenseful. Bane enters the Batcave, and then Batman and Bane fight again. In this scene, Batman gets distracted and Bane cracks the glass that holds Batman’s weapons. Luckily, Batman’s sidekick, Robin, comes with a freeze gun and is able to shoot Bane. Bane is frozen and ready to be put in jail, and Batman and Robin are really happy. The reader learns that good always wins over evil. I think that kids who like fighting crime, and who like to dress-up as superheroes for Halloween would like this book very, very much. I would recommend this book to kids at ages 6 and up.
