A girl, who lives in the city and knows it really well, visits her grandparents every year. Her grandfather always makes her a special gift and she is very excited to see what he is making her this year. He gives her a bike that was her mom’s bike. Belle rides the bike right away, but falls and hurts her knee. She realizes that she is lost and feels scared, but then she hears someone talking to her. She can’t believe it, but it’s a bee. The bee helps heal her knee with herbs and then the bee helps her to know the country really well and she meets the animals there and finds her way back to her grandparents when she climbs a tree.

I really love this book. The words are written in a way that makes me feel very calm and relaxed. The soft pictures make it feel like a really pretty place to be and make me want to visit there. I love the song that the animals sing. I liked looking for all of the animals on each page. I love that the bee uses herbs to heal her because I use herbs at home to heal me when I’m sick or hurt. I think both young and older kids would really enjoy this book.
