How to Be Brave: A Novel
Living life to the fullest has never really been Georgia’s thing. She prefers to sit on the sidelines, stay safe, and dream for amazing things to happen. When her mother passes away, however, and leaves a note telling Georgia to live life to the fullest Georgia decides it is time to learn how to be brave. Her bucket list ensures that she will do all the things she has always been afraid to do, as will her best friend Liss. These items include trying out for cheerleading or going to tribal dance classes to ensure that Georgia will never be on the safe sidelines again.
This book is inspiring and really pushes me to think about the choices I make every day, however the frequent drug and alcohol use may turn off some readers as Georgia spends a good portion of the book using drugs. The pace of the book begins to pick up as you get closer to the climax and gets more and more intense as you struggle with Georgia as she tries to be brave. Readers who enjoyed the Clique series by Lisa Harrison as well as other chick drama books will be captivated as this book takes us through life’s twist and turns.
