Dreamer, Wisher, Liar
This book is about a girl named Ashley. Her best friend Lucy is moving away. Ashley thinks that she is going to have the worst summer of her life. Her mom has arranged for a seven-year-old strange little girl to come and stay with them. When seven-year-old Claire arrives, she turns Ashley’s life upside down. Claire likes and does a lot of things differently from Ashley. Claire loves doing crafts with old people, going to the thrift stores, and cup cakes. Ashley likes her very little. One day Ashley finds a wish jar in her basement and as she reads the wishes one by one, she is magically transported to another world where she finds another two girls named Ashley and Shue. She discovers the friendship between Ashley and Shue. Who is this new Ashley and how is she connected to her? You will have to read the book to find out. This is the mystery that I love in this book. At first I was surprised that there was another Ashley in the story. I even expected another Lucy, but I was wrong, instead I found a Shue. There are a more surprises in this story. Ashley’s summer turned out pretty good after all! I enjoyed reading this book and wish I can have a summer as adventurous as Ashley’s! I recommend this book to girls five and above.
