Zits: Shredded

From this book, you can see why tweens really like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Rarely do you find a YA book that takes comics and novels and puts them together well. It is usually one or the other. However, tweens have obviously devoured this hybrid genre, so why wouldn’t other age groups? Skeptical at first, it only took a few pages to be genuinely hooked. Not only is this book funny, but the comics themselves pair perfectly with the written test and tell a story of their own. Although a quick read, Zits: Shredded is the perfect book to consider when you need something light to just hold you over while on the hunt for your next great novel. The characters are easy to relate too and page after page, your mouth just might start hurting from all of the grinning you’ll do. This is a no brainer, so go ahead and pick this book up!
